DRIVING QUESTION:

What choices will allow me to live in a healthy way?

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Following a review of cells/cellular functions and an exploration of the immune system, students will choose a topic of personal relevance related to physical or mental health and prepare a presentation for a small group of their classmates. As a Math component, students will explore the concept of financial health/literacy by planning a weekend trip (or something similar) that could include food, car rental and gas and accommodations.

CONNECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES:

Exploring physical, mental and spiritual health fits with our holistic view of education. Students will serve each other by educating their peers on topics that matter to them.
