Does technology build or break relationships?
Students will examine their lives/loves/relationships and how technology impacts these for the good/bad/mixed. They will create a photo-journal or pictopoem highlighting their viewpoint. They will then pitch their stance/findings to a panel of authorities on the subject (PAC parent, school admin, IT professional etc.) in an effort to persuade and influence future recommendations on “screen time”. French will be used on the journal or poem, but English for the pitch to the authorities.
CONNECTIONS AND PERSPECTIVES:
Our draft new vision includes “…represent their faith in all spheres of culture.” It is almost impossible to avoid technology in our culture, so how can we guide our children to discern and regulate their use of technology to honour God? This project will seek to address that concern.
